The arrival of the New Year calls for a memorable celebration, and Portugal\u2019s two largest cities, Lisbon and Porto, are up to the occasion. Whether you choose the historic elegance of the Pousada Lisboa, just next to the Terreiro do Pa\u00e7o spectacle, or the energy of the Ribeira seen from the Pestana Vintage Porto, one thing is sure: at these two Pestana<\/span> destinations, welcoming the year 2026 will undoubtedly involve elegance, fine food and good times.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lisbon: sophistication with a view of the Tagus<\/b><\/h2>\n

One of the liveliest European capitals at New Year\u2019s Eve, Lisbon\u2019s Terreiro do Pa\u00e7o is transformed into a stage for free concerts, street activities and the place to see the firework display over the Tagus, which attracts thousands of people in a celebration that combines tradition and modernity.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s right here, in the epicentre of the festivities, that we find the Pousada de Lisboa. The vibe catches on: free concerts, fireworks reflected in the river and an entire city raising their glasses to the New Year.<\/span><\/p>\n
